By booking a tour with Isleborn Tours, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read these terms carefully before making a booking. These Terms & Conditions outline the rights and responsibilities of both the customer (“you”) and Isleborn Tours (“we” or “us”).​​

Booking Conditions – Isleborn Tours

Reservation and Booking Information

To confirm your reservation with Isleborn Tours, full payment of the total tour price is required at the time of booking.

Your booking is confirmed once payment has been received.

By completing your booking, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined here.

To organize your trip, you will be asked to provide essential information such as your full name, travel dates, flight details, and any special requirements.

Bookings can be made through our website or by contacting us via email at info@isleborn.com.

Payments can be made by bank transfer or card, depending on the agreed method. Any applicable bank or payment processing fees are the responsibility of the customer.

 

Cancellation Policy - Multi-Day Tours

  • Cancellations made at least 30 days before the arrival date:

    • You will receive a 60% refund of the total booking amount.

    • The remaining 40% will be issued as travel credit, valid for 3 years.

 

  • Cancellations made less than 30 days before the arrival date:

    • No refund will be issued.

    • 40% of the total booking amount will be issued as a travel credit, valid for 3 years.

All cancellations must be made in writing via email to info@isleborn.com.

Refunds will be processed to the original payment method. Any payment processing or bank fees that are not recoverable may be deducted from the refunded amount.

We recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers cancellations, medical emergencies, or transport delays.

 

Cancellation Policy - one day tours

For one-day tours and short experiences, the following cancellation policy applies:

  • Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the tour start time: full refund

  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the tour: no refund

No travel credit is issued for one-day tours unless otherwise agreed.

Travel Credit Conditions

Travel credit is the value retained from your original booking, which can be used toward a future reservation with Isleborn Tours.

Travel credit:

  • Can only be used for multi-day tours offered by Isleborn Tours

  • Is non-refundable

  • Is non-transferable

  • Must be used within 3 years from the date of issue

  • Is subject to availability and current pricing at the time of rebooking

Travel credit applies only to multi-day tours and does not apply to one-day experiences unless explicitly stated.

Minimum Number of Participants and Type of Tour

Some tours require a minimum number of participants in order to operate. The specific minimum for each tour will be indicated at the time of booking or on the tour description.

If the required minimum number of participants is not reached, Isleborn Tours reserves the right to cancel or modify the tour. In such cases, you will be offered one of the following options:

​

  • A full refund of the amount paid

  • An alternative date or equivalent tour

  • The option to join another group, subject to availability

  • A travel credit for future use

 

Private tours may also be available upon request, subject to availability and an additional cost.

 

Local Providers

Many of our services are delivered in collaboration with local guides, families, and small businesses in the Faroe Islands.

In some cases, these providers may have their own conditions, especially for services such as ferries or boat excursions.

Isleborn Tours acts as the main coordinator but is not responsible for delays, changes, or cancellations caused by third-party providers.

 

Weather, Force Majeure, and Itinerary Changes

Weather conditions in the Faroe Islands can change rapidly. For safety or logistical reasons, the itinerary may be modified, delayed, or adjusted.

Isleborn Tours reserves the right to:

  • Change the order of visits

  • Adjust routes or transportation methods

while maintaining the overall quality of the experience.

In cases of severe weather or force majeure affecting the tour, we will offer:

  • An equivalent alternative

  • Or a travel credit for the affected activity

If no alternative is possible, a proportional refund may be issued.

Isleborn Tours is not liable for additional compensation beyond the options described above in cases of circumstances beyond our control, including:

  • Adverse weather conditions

  • Natural disasters

  • Strikes or labor disputes

  • Road closures or transport disruptions

  • Political or safety situations

  • Any other unforeseeable events

 

Punctuality

It is the responsibility of each traveler to arrive on time at the designated meeting points.

Delays may result in missed activities without the right to a refund.

 

Physical Condition and Health

Some activities may require a moderate level of fitness. Participation is optional, and travelers may choose to skip or shorten activities based on their comfort level. Any changes must be coordinated with the guide.

Each traveler is responsible for ensuring they are in suitable condition to participate.

 

 

Clothing and Equipment

Weather conditions can change quickly, so all participants must bring appropriate clothing and footwear for outdoor activities.

The guide may deny participation to anyone without suitable equipment, without refund.

 

Conduct, Alcohol, and Safety

For safety reasons, Isleborn Tours may deny participation to travelers who:

  • Are under the influence of alcohol or drugs

  • Behave in a way that puts the group at risk

In such cases, no refund will be issued.

All travelers are expected to behave respectfully toward guides, other participants, local communities, and the natural environment, and to follow all local rules and guidelines.

 

Inherent Risks and Participation

By joining our tours, travelers accept the inherent risks of outdoor activities and agree to follow the guide’s instructions.

Isleborn Tours and its collaborators are not responsible for accidents resulting from failure to follow safety guidelines or from negligent behavior.

 

Responsibility

All participants take part in tours at their own risk.

Isleborn Tours is not responsible for:

  • Injuries or accidents

  • Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings

Travelers are responsible for their personal belongings at all times during the tour.

Travelers are also responsible for arranging appropriate travel insurance. We strongly recommend that insurance covers accidents, illness, cancellations, and loss of luggage.

Isleborn Tours is not responsible for any indirect or consequential losses, including but not limited to additional travel costs, accommodation, loss of income, or any external expenses such as flights, independently booked hotels, or other third-party services.

The total liability of Isleborn Tours is limited to the amount paid by the customer for the tour.

 

Luggage and Personal Belongings

Isleborn Tours is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal items during the tour.

Travelers are responsible for their own belongings throughout the experience.

 

Children Policy

Children are welcome on certain tours, depending on the itinerary and safety conditions.

Some activities may have age restrictions or require adult supervision.

 

Travel Documentation

Once the booking is confirmed, you will receive your itinerary and travel documents in PDF format within 15 days of booking and no later than before the tour start date.

 

No-Show or Unused Services

If a traveler does not show up at the designated time and place, or cannot participate due to personal or documentation reasons, no refund will be issued.

 

Photography and Promotion

During the tour, Isleborn Tours may take photos or videos for promotional and marketing purposes, including use on our website, social media, and other communication channels.

By participating in the tour, you acknowledge that you may appear in such content.

If you prefer not to appear in any photos or videos, please inform us in writing before the start of the tour, and we will respect your preference.

 

Prices and Currency

All prices are in Danish Kroner (DKK) and include applicable taxes.

Isleborn Tours reserves the right to adjust prices before confirmation due to significant changes in costs or taxes.

Once the booking is confirmed and paid, the price is guaranteed.

Data Protection

We take your privacy seriously. Personal data collected during the reservation process will be used to manage your booking and provide the requested services.

Complaints

If something does not meet your expectations, please notify us within 72 hours after the end of the tour.

In the event of any dispute, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter amicably before pursuing legal action.

We will do our best to resolve the issue quickly and fairly.

Changes to Terms & Conditions

Isleborn Tours reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective from the date of publication on our website.

 

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These conditions are governed by the laws of the Faroe Islands.

Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of the Faroe Islands.

 

Intellectual Property

  • Website Content: All content on the Isleborn Tours website (including text, photographs, videos, graphics, logos, design, and other materials) is the intellectual property of Isleborn Tours or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. This content is provided for your personal, non-commercial use to learn about our tours and services.

  • Updates to Content: The information and materials on our website are subject to change. We may update, add to, or modify website content at any time without prior notice to reflect changes in our tours, services, or policies. While we strive to keep information accurate and up-to-date, we do not guarantee that all content is current or error-free at all times.

  • Restrictions on Use: No rights are granted to you to copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or publicly display any content from the Isleborn Tours website for commercial purposes or any purpose outside of personal use.
